A most famous member of the beryl family of gemstones, emeralds receive their unique green color from the presence of chromium as they form. With color varying from mint to brilliant forest green, cloudy to crystal clear, there's an emerald for everyone. The word "emerald" is derived the Latin word esmaraldus, a variant of the Latin word smaragdus, which originated in Ancient Greek: smaragdos, "green gem." Emerald is the May birthstone, but don't be afraid to enjoy its beauty if your bithday is in another month!
One of our most glamorous emerald rings, this piece features an oval shaped natural emerald center stone, surrounded by bright, white diamonds in prong settings. The diamonds continue down the band, adding dazzle from every direction. To complete the look, a collar of prong set diamonds encircles the base of the setting as well! Forty- eight stones total 1/5ct. We will gladly resize this ring to fit her finger, free of charge (first time only).
Don't know her size? Ask her to bring the ring to us after you give it to her, and we'll measure and resize it.
